Having a vps is that when you buy a brand new vps with nothing installed, you’ve gotta install everything. Oh and I mean EVERYTHING. Hmm, here’s the list of things I’ve rebuilt and installed:
- Apache
- Php 4 &5
- Ioncube
- Zend Optimizer
- eAccelerator
- Freetype
- GD
- Curl
- Openssl
- Fantastico (I even had to go buy it!)
- Postgre
- ClamAV Virus Scanner
- And the list goes on….these were just the important ones. I still have imagemagick to install
So there you have it, everything I’ve been doing the last 3 days. Oh and of course, arguing with my old host cause they just wouldn’t let me cancel :K
And whoaaa, I just installed eAccelerator a few minutes ago and this new speed is amazing! ILOVEEEIT!
Hmm, some errors when I’m trying to install imagemagick, oh well, I’ll let the tech support dudes fix it.
Also, I think some of you saw my process of vps moving 2-3 days ago when every link on my site became “downloadable XD” I think the problem was that I was on php 4 on my old server and on my new one I didn’t install php 4 yet, only php 5 so it had it’s screw ups. :P
