Same thing happened to me 4 years ago. when I used way too much acne med. I had to go to the hospital… and found out I used it too much that it made my skin way too sensitive(sp?), so now i’m allergic to anything that has benzol(sp?) peroxide in it.
Oh my gosh! I would FUH-REAK OUT if that happened to me!!
I have pretty good skin, and I’ve never needed to use acne products. So there’s not much advice I can give
Hope you find something that works for you.
That once happened to me before..
such a pain in the butt.
Ouch! if it gets worse see the doctor
omg thats horrible! hope you find something that works!
i get some form of impetigo on my forehead, and NOTHING works, except normal dove/simple face wash, strange, but whenever i use acne stuff for it, it just makes it worse XD lol.
i love this layout, its amazingg :)
OMG! I hope you find something that helps!
eek thats sounds horrible. good luck with everything though
Oh wow ! ;O .
I use clean and clear a few times a day and it works fine :) Maybe you should try that OR, proactiv, my cousin uses that and it seems to work pretty well ! :)
Great site btw, the layout is really unique ! :D
Eek!
That’s awful!
I think it’s like … the chemical reactions between the products you use.
I hope you get better as soon as possible though! :O
By the way, I love your layout xD It’s amazing!
Whoa! I haven’t heard that before
I can’t use the cleanser with sandpaper-like beads in it too much or else my face will start to hurt really bad
Hey there. I saw you on swimchick and checked out your site, which is pretty awesome, by the way. I really like the tutorials and your layout is super unique.
ouch. that sounds awful. I use 4 things on my face too, but they are all completely natural and are all from the same line. 1-3 is like that proactive stuff except waaaay better. It’s called Artistry essentials balancing skin care system. The 4th thing is this blemish cream from the same line. It works like clearasil except it’s in a bigger tube and has no harsh chemicals. I think you should try it ‘cuz it sounds like your skin is REALLY sensitive…you can only get it online at LifeAbounds and it’s just a bit expensive, but totally worth it.
Wow, i’m sorry to hear that. I think it was most probably down to the number of products you were using, so you may want to cut down a bit haha. I hope your skin gets back to normal soon.
I’ve been to your site like 3 times before but never commented. & about your acne medication it sounds bad :( If your serious about getting rid of your acne, your best bet would be to go to a dermatologist and have them prescribe medication. Alot of them are shady and only spend 5 minutes with you! So keep on asking questions so they have to spend more time with you XD
If your acne is really bad you should try oral medication, it just basically balances your hormones, I don’t know anything about side effects though =/
nooo dont get murad.. my grandma ordered it for me after pro-active didnt work, and the first few days was fine.. except after a week or so my skin was worse than it was. O.o I did the same routine you did, with the wash drying lotion and all, but the skin around my nose and between my eyebrows started to peel . good luck with everything. the best thing that worked for me? Natures Cure its amazing! It has oral medication, and stuff for the outside too :)
I’ve had problems with acne for the past five years. I’m finally starting to clear up. My skin was so dry and wrinkly, I literally COULD NOT SMILE or open my mouth. My face peeled when I was sweating or if I was cold.
My skin is very sensitive (making my face get red really easily), very dry and very oily. Terrible, terrible combination.
My dry skin wrinkles are nearly 90% gone, and my skin is actually starting to clear up now. Thanks to my personal regimen. I don’t want to post a “commercial,” so if you would like to know what I use, feel free to e-mail me at sophy.kerzman@gmail.com.
Eek - using that many acne treatment products on your face at once is so not good
. I’ve personally dealt with acne, and I work with a lot makeup artists who are trained in skincare, so this is all of the advice I can offer - I hope it helps!
The best way to figure out what’s best for your skin is to try out each product for a week or so, and if things worsen/don’t improve then try a different one. There’s two major types of acne treatment “chemicals”: salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I know that personally for me, salicylic acid makes my skin worse, where benzoyl peroxide really helps. Most things on the market contain salicylic acid, so a lot of people don’t know about benzoyl peroxide, but the next time you’re at the store look through the ingredients on the different products. I have sensitive skin, and the Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne treatment works wonders for me - I definitely recommend you try it out if you haven’t already.
Also, it’s important to have a normal daily skincare regiment aside from any acne treatment you may be using (nothing that’s “specially” made for acne…just plain products). All it needs to contain is a facial scrub (exfoliater), toner, and lotion. A lot these products on the market contain chemicals and perfumes that may cause your skin to become overly dry, overly oily, or just plain ol’ irritated…using organic or all-natural products can really make a difference here. Most grocery stores have an organic section that has these types of products, but even Walmart started carrying the more popular organic lines (like Alba Organics) recently.
I can also advise you to STAY AWAY from ProActiv and Mary Kay’s teen line Velocity. Although some people claim that ProActiv works, it usually makes your skin a lot worse before it gets better and as soon as you stop using ProActiv, your skin will go back to it’s former state. No good!
Anyways, I feel kind of silly for writing such a long comment, but I know what you’re dealing with and just wanted to share what I know with you :) . I hope you find something that works!!!
(PS: I love your portfolio - very nice traditional work!)
I hope your face get better. I don’t use anything, my cousin and aunt do though. I have bad skin period even though it doesn’t show at all, but I do.
Try the Clinique acne system.
It worked wonders for me. (:
omg i would cry. I hardly use anything to stop my breakout because mines isn’t so bad. But my grandmother gave me and my mom one called natural advantage which totally worked out for me. While i still hardly use it when i break out really bad it helps me. Really you hope you find one, you could have sensitive skin, might want to tone it down before trying another brand.
ouch! that sounds real bad..
but it sounds like your drying
your skin out too much i would stop
using the products for about two weeks
then go back to using them only once a day!!
hope this helps
